Michaela & Mike had a picture-perfect day for their summer wedding in July. The couple began their day with stunning portraits at War Memorial Park before arriving at The Villa for their outdoor ceremony and Tent reception. Guests gathered on the black and white checkered dance floor, which set the perfect stage for an evening of joy and celebration.

“We met through mutual friends! Mike proposed on a Saturday morning in our apartment after I had just got in from a run. I was caught completely off guard! Later in the day, he planned a party with our family and friends at one of our favorite local restaurants, which is also where we had our first date.

We wanted our color scheme to be simple and timeless. We added hints of gold and light blue into our florals and bridesmaids dresses. The girls wore mist blue dresses from Azazie, and the men wore classic black tuxedos from Main Event Tuxedo. 

We both come from large, extended families. It was important to us to find a venue that would comfortably fit all of our guests without the space feeling overcrowded. We also preferred a venue that had a ceremony and reception space at the same location. The Tent at The Villa had all of this and more!

Working with Saphire Event Group was extremely smooth throughout the process! From the beginning, they were attentive and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. Our Event Producer was amazing to work with. Her calm & warm personality made the biggest difference to us, especially on the days leading up to and on our wedding day. Our bridal attendant was equally amazing on the day-of. She always made sure we had everything we needed through the whole night.” 

If you had to give a piece of wedding planning advice to a newly engaged couple, what would it be? 

“Wedding planning can be stressful and although it may not feel like it at the moment, everything truly goes by so fast. Take the time to enjoy every second of all of your wedding celebrations, especially your wedding day! It will all be worth it and you will have the best day with all of your loved ones.”

Michaela & Mike’s Best Marriage Advice:

“If you can, take a honeymoon even if it is just locally before life gets busy again. We spent the night in Plymouth, MA the day after our wedding. It was so fun to relax, look at pictures and talk to each other about our wedding day. It was a special way to reflect on our day and how lucky we are to have so many wonderful people in our lives.”
