The Villa, in East Bridgewater, is a gorgeous boutique venue with three separate and unique wedding spaces on Massachusetts’ South Shore. Each space was expertly designed to showcase its unique style. Couples looking for a sophisticated urban vibe (think Mother of Pearl accent walls, crystal chandeliers, a 14-foot linear fireplace, and custom-designed lounge furniture) should check out The Grand Ballroom. If you’re looking for rustic charm with a French Provincial twist (think exposed beams, custom moldings, bookend marble fireplaces with oversized mantles which flank the room, and wrought iron light fixtures) then The Madera Ballroom is perfect! Lastly, The Tent offers the ultimate al fresco experience. Its details include gorgeous organic wood accents mixed with Mid-Century Modern lounge furniture, a cozy firepit, and stunning white drapery throughout the tent, all surrounded by lush landscaped gardens. Scituate Lighthouse | Scituate, MA

Are you craving beachy and dreamy wedding photos shot along the New England coast? Look no further than one of the South Shore’s most visited (and one of the oldest!) attractions, Scituate Lighthouse. Nestled on the shoreline, the lighthouse and keeper’s cottage sit in the ideal location to witness the sunrise or sunset, regardless of the season. During the summer months, you might find families enjoying the scenery so you’ll have to plan your visit accordingly if you want a more private experience. Everything about this landmark, from the rocky jetty to the weathered shutters of the cottage, gives off quintessential New England vibes.
Great River Preserve | Bridgewater, MA

Like a little oasis in the desert, Bridgewater’s Great River Preserve is a magical piece of land that follows the Taunton River. Spanning 125 acres, this conservation area is home to hundreds of different species and the sole mission of this property is to protect them and their land. You can journey through tall pine trees, like skyscrapers for the birds, or take some seated shots near the banks of the river.
Whitman Town Park | Whitman, MA

Whitman Town Park is a historic location in Whitman, Massachusetts. The entire property spans 14 acres and features a gazebo, water fountains, and trails paved by handmade stone walls. You can take romantic pictures inside the gazebo (think about how beautiful it would be at sunset!), get some candid shots while sitting on the benches overlooking the pond, or visit Cupid’s Kiss Statue for a little bit of extra luck in your marriage.
War Memorial Park | West Bridgewater

War Memorial Park is another great photo location with tons of different trails to explore. Walking along the paths you’ll find bridges and hand-built stone walls. You’ll even stumble upon a small waterfall. Some trails are lined on either side with rows upon rows of trees with some even curving towards the middle like a makeshift leaf canopy. Pictures of you and your partner walking down the private paths will help to showcase your bond as you walk together into this new chapter in your life.
The grounds of The Villa at our Massachusetts wedding venues are full of beautiful picture-taking spots. You can pose underneath the romantic white pergola, on the vintage bridge, or get a cool shot in the back of our golf cart (for all those golf aficionados out there)! While you might think traveling off the property for photos is inconvenient, venturing just thirty minutes out will let you see so much of the surrounding area. If you’re doing a first look, you could start your picture-taking process earlier in the day so that by the time your cocktail hour comes you can snack, drink, and be married.
