Cozy Winter Wedding Ideas and Planning Tips! | Saphire Event Group

Each Saphire Event Group Venues – The Villa, Avenir, Saphire Estate, and The Lakehouse – host weddings year-round, and we love it when couples choose a romantic, cozy winter wedding.

There are so many reasons to have a winter wedding in Massachusetts! From more flexibility in choosing a date to a glittery, snowy backdrop for photos, getting married in the “off” season has plenty of perks.

Here are some winter wedding tips to keep your special day cozy and warm:

Fur shawls and coats are both an elegant touch for winter wedding photos and a stylish way to keep you and your wedding party toasty during portraits!

A Warm Welcome… Beverage!

Two of our Saphire Event Group venues feature gorgeous fireplaces that are the perfect touch for any cozy winter wedding in Massachusetts.

The Villa boasts two custom fireplaces, one on either side of the Madera ballroom, as well as one gorgeous mother-of-pearl tiled linear fireplace in the Grand Ballroom.

Saphire Estate guests have the pleasure of experiencing two unique fireplaces; one in the separate cocktail space featuring gorgeous black accents, as well as the iconic white mantled fireplace in the historic Saphire Estate Ballroom.

The warm ambiance of candles or lanterns is perfect for a cozy winter wedding reception. At Saphire Event Group, we allow LED candles and lanterns as aisle decor, (and they look simply stunning!) and real candles enclosed on a surface as part of a centerpiece or mantel decor. Incorporating the glow of candles or lanterns into mantel decor, sweetheart tables, and centerpieces is a simple way to bring warmth into your ceremony or reception.

These are just a few ways to bring warmth and light to a snowy wedding day! Massachusetts winter weddings are beautiful affairs and we hope to see more couples take advantage of them this season! If you’re interested in having a winter wedding at one of our venues, contact us today.
