A group tasting allows multiple couples to return to their chosen wedding venue and spend an evening sampling menu items. There will be a lot of food, from passed hors d’oeuvres and stationary displays to plated entrées. You’ll want to have room to try it all!
Take plenty of notes and photos.
As you try different selections, taking notes of what you liked and what you might want to include on your wedding menu will keep you organized. Remember, you’ll be trying many different things, so you’ll want to document your favorites. You may also want to create a menu for your guests. Knowing this information in advance can help you or your designer create the menu design in advance.
Ask questions!
The venue will have plenty of staff available to answer any questions. You might love an entrée but wonder if you could change the sauce or add another entree option to your wedding menu. Both are great questions that can be answered at a group or private tasting!

Schedule a menu meeting with your wedding producer in the weeks after your food tasting.
This will ensure your favorites are still fresh in your mind while you plan the menu for your big day!
