Creative Collaboration: A Romantic Wedding Theme Styled Shoot at The Lakehouse

The Lakehouse, our newest venue, with its breathtaking views and tranquil water, offers an idyllic escape reminiscent of Tulum’s natural beauty. In just one season, we have brought 85 events to life in this newly renovated, highly anticipated space. The Lakehouse’s aesthetic is the sought-after simplicity, organic textures, and natural tones of a destination wedding in Halifax, MA. This season, we have seen gorgeous moments, true love stories, extravagant affairs, simple visions, and so many truly unique ways to make the venue even more exquisite.

Recently, a team of talented vendors had their turn to transform The Lakehouse into a Pinterest board‘s dream come true. The vision was romance mixed with whimsical garden, and the final result did not disappoint. From the beautiful, eco-consciously made tableware by Honest Event Rentals to every picturesque detail carefully planned by Casey & Co. Events, this romantic wedding theme shoot is sure to inspire future couples.

Lights, Camera, Color Palette

The concept and design of the shoot was dreamt up and primarily put together by Casey & Co. Events and Haus of Blooms. The two styled the vision with earthy mauve and mustard tones: soft pinks, pale purples, and perfectly warm yellow accents woven throughout the décor and floral arrangements.

The palette perfectly complemented the neutral surroundings of The Lakehouse’s minimalist interior. The 2024 wedding season commonly saw all-green and white color palettes at The Lakehouse, but we anticipate the 2025 season to bring more pinks and yellows. This shoot aimed to showcase how the already stunning space can transform into a dream destination for couples seeking a unique wedding experience with just a vision and the right team.

Getting The Perfect Romantic Wedding Theme Photos

For this shoot, we were lucky enough to work with not one but two exceptional photographers, both of whom have shot at our other wedding venues prior. Three critical steps to ensuring you get the show-stopping photos every couple wants are: knowing the venue, knowing the kinds of shots you like, and communicating with your photographer. For this vision, we knew we wanted to capture moments in each of The Lakehouse’s iconic photo backdrops. Some of those spots include our travertine tile bar, the sun-soaked wedding suite patio, the arched entryway, the lantern-lit tree, and, of course, the waterfront dock. Before even stepping foot at the venue for the shoot, the team pulled tons of inspiration for the types of photos we were looking to capture, so we had a visual shot list to guide the day. Both Mary B Photography and Ella Farrell Photography knew the types of photos we were looking for and delivered content that embodied the effortless luxury of The Lakehouse.

A Picture Perfect Day on The Lake

As the day unfolded, the collaboration of these talented vendors resulted in a breathtaking showcase of what each wedding booked at The Lakehouse could look like. The weather was perfect, creating a gorgeous glow on the lake and venue; the team left no detail behind, and together, it all translated to a picture-perfect gallery we will use to inspire future couples of The Lakehouse. The styled shoot highlighted the versatility of the space, demonstrating how it can cater to various aesthetic visions, from bohemian to whimsical to elegant and sophisticated. Through its first wedding season and now its first styled shoot, The Lakehouse proved to be more than just a venue; it became a canvas for love stories, both real and staged.
