Memorial Park Beach | Sharon, MA

3 minutes from Saphire Estate or 15 minutes from Avenir

Although Saphire Estate does have a small private beach “landing” for waterfront photographs, some couples want to actually sink their feet into some soft sand. Good thing there’s a town beach along Lake Massapoag within five minutes of Saphire Estate! Memorial Park Beach is a resident-only beach but for non-Sharon residents, Community Center Beach is available to you with the purchase of a one-day pass. Whichever beach you have access to, you’ll be able to dip your toes in the water and frolic along the shore with your partner and wedding party.

Francis William Bird Park | Walpole, MA

14 minutes from Saphire Estate or 9 minutes from Avenir

On the greener side, Francis William Bird Park is 89 acres of ponds, trail routes, weeping willow trees, and rolling natural hills. With numerous paths to choose from, it won’t be hard to secure a secluded area, away from the hustle and bustle, for romantic photos with your partner. As the name suggests, you’re bound to encounter some of the beautiful wildlife that calls this park home (Maybe you could even convince a doe and her fawns to take a picture with you)! Not to mention, a lush sea of greenery will make your wedding dress pop in every photo.

Borderland State Park | North Easton, MA

5 minutes from Saphire Estate or 20 minutes from Avenir

If you aren’t partial to beaches or forest trails, Borderland State Park is a lovely mixture of the two. Wrapping around three small ponds, this park makes you feel like you’re stepping into a storybook. With the historic Ames Mansion on the grounds, you can take every opportunity to include this castle-like structure in your fairytale photos. Within the park’s 1,800 acres of land, you can take advantage of horseback riding, fall foliage hikes, or just people-watching during your photography session.

Gillette Stadium | Foxboro, MA

14 minutes from Saphire Estate or 10 minutes from Avenir

If anyone in your wedding party is a sports fan (hopefully a New England one at that), Gillette Stadium, also known as Patriot’s Place, might be a spot worth checking out. There are plenty of locations to pose in front of Patriots memorabilia. Plus, if you’re getting married during the fall or winter season and have some family staying in the area, a Patriots game is a great activity that would interest those of all ages.

We’re not saying you have to seek alternate photo locations because the grounds at both Saphire Estate and Avenir have plenty of beautiful, well-manicured photo spots. But if you’re seeking some photos outside traditional wedding portraits, exploring the surrounding area is a great way to get out into the community and add some excitement to the picture-taking process!
