Pantone 2019 Color of the Year - Living Coral | Saphire Event Group

Wedding trends come and go, and it can be almost impossible to keep up with the “next big thing.” Sure, Pinterest is great, but how can you really predict which trends will have true staying power, especially when it comes to weddings?

One place that a variety of industries look to for advice is The Pantone Color Institute (PCI). Their predictions for color trends set the standard for what items you’ll eventually see in stores, on runways, and on the pages of wedding magazines (let’s just say they’re like a more approachable Miranda Priestly).

Last year’s Ultra Violet was a no-brainer for the wedding industry, as shades of purple are consistently seen as a main color choice for couples in many different seasons. However this year’s hue is definitely a little more out of the ordinary for those of us in the wedding game. One thing’s for sure – we can’t wait to see how our couples incorporate this fun shade into their weddings in 2019 and beyond. So without further adieu, we present the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year Living Coral!

According to the PCI, Living Coral is “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.” And who wouldn’t want that for their big day?!

Living Coral may not be the first shade that comes to mind when selecting your wedding colors, but we can already envision this eye-popping hue stealing the show, especially for summer events! Not convinced yet? Check out this inspiration from some of our past couples to see how Living Coral could be the perfect color for your wedding!

What are your thoughts on Living Coral? Would you work this super current shade into your upcoming nuptials? (We personally love the idea of having this as a gorgeous accent hue with a more traditional navy palette!) Let us know in the comments below!
