Our Top Wedding Trends for 2026 | Saphire Event Group

As we head into a full 2026 season, one thing is clear: weddings are becoming more intentional, more immersive, and more reflective of each couple’s story. This year is less about tradition for tradition’s sake and more about creating a celebration that feels personal, elevated, and like YOU!

Here are the trends our couples are embracing for 2026…

UNIQUE TIMELINES

There’s always been a typical wedding day structure: ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. But in 2026, we’re expecting to see more variation in this timeline.

Whether it’s having an intimate, private ceremony, swapping the seated dinner for a cocktail reception, or welcoming guests to a social hour before the ceremony starts, the wedding timeline is no longer fixed. It is now thoughtfully designed to reflect how couples actually want the day to feel.

MOCKTAILS WITH INTENTION

Alcohol free beverages options are no longer an afterthought. With mocktails becoming more and more mainstream, we’re expecting to see plenty on 2026 menus. Whether it’s a Diet Coke Bar or a signature drink for your wedding, offering an alcohol alternative to guests is as inclusive as it is trendy.

BOLD & SATURATED COLOR

While neutrals will always have their place, and the Pantone Color of the Year is Cloud Dancer white, 2026 couples are already leaning into rich, expressive palettes. Many are pushing the envelope with unique color combos–we don’t see this trend slowing down just yet! After a few years of softer minimalism, bold color is here to stay (for this year at least).

EDITORIAL CANDIDS

Think movement, flash photography, film-inspired edits, and candid moments that capture the energy of the day. It is less about perfection and more about the feeling. And on social media, perfectly posed photos are so 2025…real moments are going viral.

DRAMATIC DRAPERY

Fabric is playing a major role in 2026 design. Draping adds softness, texture, and dimension to a space while transforming the overall atmosphere, no matter the season.

We are seeing it layered across ceremony pergolas, woven into tablescapes, and incorporated into floral installations. Lots of drapery creates a huge visual impact, with minimal clean up required afterwards–what a plus!

UNOFFICIAL WEDDING PARTIES

More couples are choosing to get ready with their closest friends without assigning traditional titles. This approach removes pressure, reduces financial expectations, and allows everyone to simply be present for the moment.

It feels relaxed, modern, and centered around genuine connection rather than formality.

PERSONALIZATION IS THE NEW LUXURY

Luxury in 2026 is defined by intention. Custom decals, meaningful design elements, private moments built into the timeline, and details that reflect a couple’s story are what truly stand out, no matter the venue.

It is not about doing more. It is about doing what feels authentic and thoughtfully curated.
