6 Things We Loved From Saie & Sid’s Massachusetts Indian Wedding | Saphire Event Group

Saie & Sid’s incredible Indian wedding at Saphire Estate was unlike anything we’ve seen before at our four Massachusetts wedding venues. From Saie’s vibrant wedding-weekend wardrobe to the extravagant baraat leading up to the beautifully designed ceremony space, the energy of this wedding radiated through the couple, friends, family, color scheme, decor and every detail between.

We could go on and on about the moments we loved from this March wedding, but here are the top six details we can’t stop talking about from Saie and Sid’s Indian wedding at Saphire Estate.

1. The Haldi & Sangeet Ceremony

Saie and Sid opted to have their Haldi ceremony and Sangeet at their gorgeous apartment in Boston, MA the night before their wedding at Saphire Estate.

The Haldi is a traditional Indian ceremony where a turmeric mixture is smeared on the couple as a cleansing ritual before the wedding. As the vibrant yellow turmeric color symbolizes prosperity, it’s tradition that the bride, groom, and family wear this color as well. This dynamic color is an excellent outward representation of the inner excitement happening leading up to the wedding.

The Sangeet is a celebration where friends and family gather to celebrate the upcoming wedding festivities to follow! Saie’s sparkly black sari was a beautiful choice for this exciting night! Their apartment was filled with delicious food, talented henna artists, and the prominent females in Saie’s family, along with endless dancing and singing. The city-skyline view from their private balcony created the perfect backdrop to capture beautiful photos of Saie & Sid on this memorable day filled with so much excitement and love.

2. The Baraat

The Baraat is one of our favorite parts of an Indian wedding because of the energy. The Baraat is a celebratory wedding tradition where the groom processes toward the wedding ceremony, typically on an elephant or camel. Since we don’t typically see camels or elephants in Sharon, MA, a luxury sports car is a great supplement for this age-old tradition.

Saie & Sid’s baraat was one our favorites to date. Pink and orange smoke filled the sky as Sid drove up Decatur Ave. toward Saphire Estate with the beautiful Lake Massapoag glimmering in the background. Friends and family of the happy couple lined the streets banging on drums, dancing hand-and-hand, and cheering for the incoming groom.

3. Saie & Sid’s First Look

We always recommend doing a first look here at Saphire Event Group for several reasons. Not only does it allow you to enjoy more of your wedding day because you’re able to take photos before the ceremony, but the photos are always SO sweet, and it allows for a special uninterrupted moment together. Saie & Sid’s first look at Saphire Estate was no exception. With a light snowfall trickling through the towering trees, this first look had us in our feels. Sid’s smile after turning and seeing Saie walking down the wooded path is priceless.

No detail went unnoticed at Saie & Sid’s beautiful Saphire Estate wedding, and their photographer, Julie Lippert, captured it all to perfection. Saie’s intricate henna designs and shimmering gold jewelry that decorated her hands, hair, and feet were some of the many incredible details we‘re swooning over from this spectacular Indian wedding.

5. Green and Gold Color Scheme

Although Indian tradition opts for a red and gold color palette for wedding celebrations, Saie and Sid strayed away from folklore and opted for a lavish green and gold color scheme for their Massachusetts wedding day. Luxurious green and gold draping curated an elegant backdrop for their ballroom wedding ceremony, and many of Saie & Sid’s close family and friends wore saris and dhotis in hues of green with gold accents to incorporate this beautiful color scheme even further.

6.  The Wedding Reception

Last but certainly not least, Saie & Sid finished their wedding weekend off with a bang with their incredible wedding reception at Saphire Estate. Shifting from the green and gold color scheme to a beautiful purple and pink palette, Saie & Sid decked out Saphire Estate’s ballroom with gorgeous candles, draping, luxurious lounge furniture, and lavish florals thanks to their incredible decorator Aneesha from TaranaOM Creations. This incredible night featured tons of delicious food, drinks, dancing, and of course, lots of love.
