Having formed a relationship after learning their partners were having an affair together, Shania Twain and her beau Frederic Thiebaud are living proof that out of romantic tragedy can come happiness. The 45-year-old singer rang in the New Year by walking proudly down the aisle with her son, Eja, at sunset in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Twain donned a gorgeous white gown with a black sash, while her groom wore a coordinating white suit and black dress shirt. Robert Evans, photographer for Katie Holmes’ and Tom Cruise’s wedding, captured their happy moments.
TIP 1: KEEP IT SMALL:
Not only will you save money, you will also save yourself the stress of not knowing whether you had the chance to thank all of your guests for coming or not. Only 40 of the couple’s closest friends attended their wedding, keeping it intimate and personal.
TIP 2: HAVE YOUR GUESTS PROVIDE THE MUSIC:
Share a favorite love song with your groom? Have your guests sing it as you walk down the aisle as a newly married couple. The song will be even more meaningful sung to you by the people you love most. Twain and Thiebaud’s guests sang “All You Need is Love” by the Beatles.
TIP 3: DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE LABELS:
We’re pretty certain Twain can afford any dress she wants, but there was no name dropping in the tabloids about her dress designer. Instead, Twain worried little about labels and purchased her dress of choice at a boutique in Lausanne, Switzerland. Do like Twain and stay true to what you love most. Don’t pick a sub-par dress just because it costs the most.
