Janelle and Tucker met at a party in 2012, while attending the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Eight years later, Tucker proposed to Janelle on an August day at her family cottage in Cape Cod.

When it came time to start planning their wedding, the couple had a few must-haves on their venue wish list. They wanted a venue with an all-white glamorous ballroom, and where they could have both the ceremony and reception on-site. Janelle’s sister had gotten married at The Villa (another Saphire Event Group venue) five years prior, so she knew they would be in good hands at an SEG property. With three distinct ceremony options, a glamorous ballroom with timeless fixtures, and crystal chandeliers, it’s no surprise that Avenir was the couple’s final choice.

“Avenir was the only venue that had my vision of old Hollywood glam,” Janelle expressed. “The pictures don’t do justice on how the chandeliers added a sparkling shimmer to the room.”

“Our event producer Hillary was the best to work with, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful,” Janelle recalled. “It felt like all the employees were truly happy for our celebration, which made us feel even more special. We keep joking that my brother needs to get married at Saphire Estate so we can experience all three SEG venues!”
