“Dan and I go way back! We have known each other since attending college at Tufts University, and only met briefly a handful of times. But it wasn’t until after we graduated and got invited to the same friend’s wedding that sparks started to fly. After the wedding, Dan texted me, and it has been uphill ever since! Chatting through texts and Facetime, he decided to take the next flight and take me on a proper date. For two and a half years, we would hop from airplane to airplane as we were both were located in different cities for work. In 2016 Dan moved to Boston for good, and we were able to settle down and start our life together in the city, doing things like watching sports and cooking together.

After moving in together, Dan decided it was time to make things more official. Since I hate surprises, Dan had to carefully toe the line between secrecy and letting me know that something was about to happen. Under the guidance of a ‘surprise’ anniversary trip, Dan recreated our first date – going to the same restaurant and the Washington Monument, where he ended up popping the question. With so much emotion and excitement, I said YES and we were both thrilled to start the next chapter of our lives together!

I grew up in Braintree, so we knew we needed something close by where friends and family were able to easily get to from the city. The Villa captured the elegance of a way more expensive ballroom, but still accessible within our budget. Not only is it a beautiful venue, but the service from beginning to end was everything we wanted and more. Alicia, our bridal attendant, was truly the best professional we could have asked for. Right before our reception started, she gave us ten minutes by ourselves in our suite. It was the first time all day that we were able to spend alone and relax just a little bit before going back out and partying with everyone. It gave us a second to reflect on this momentous occasion and live in the moment and enjoy it.”
