BOOK YOUR NEW YEAR’S EVE WEDDING VENUE

New Year’s Eve is always a popular wedding date! If you’re thinking of getting married on the last day of the year, reach out to your dream venue to see if NYE is still available.

HIRE VENDORS EARLY

Aside from being a popular wedding date, New Year’s Eve is also a big night for social and party plans. Even if the photographer or florist you want to hire isn’t booked for a wedding, they could be taking the evening off to ring in the new year. So, once you’ve locked in your New Year’s Eve wedding venue, reach out to vendors ASAP!

ASK GUESTS TO DRESS THEIR BEST

A New Year’s Eve wedding is the perfect occasion for black tie or cocktail attire. Encourage everyone to show up in their NYE best to celebrate your marriage–and ring in the new year! On your invitations and wedding website, specify the dress code so your friends and family know exactly what to wear.

POP THE BUBBLY

You can’t celebrate NYE without champagne! Whether a tower or a toast, make sure the bubbly is flowing during your reception.

ADD SOME SPARKLE

When you’re thinking about New Year’s Eve wedding decor, don’t be afraid to bring some glitz and glamour. Ask your florist to use glittery vases for your centerpieces. Or, choose linens and votive candles that have a metallic finish to really bring the sparkle.

ADJUST YOUR TIMELINE

When you book your New Year’s wedding, check with your venue to confirm the block of time you have the space. It’s standard for most wedding venues to offer a 5- or 6-hour window for your ceremony and reception, but if you want to keep the festivities going until midnight, you may need to shift your start time.

MAKE MIDNIGHT MEMORABLE

It’s not an NYE wedding without a countdown! Get your guests excited for the new year with noisemakers, LED light sticks, a balloon drop, and–of course–a midnight kiss.
