Our Favorite Fall Wedding Cocktails and Recipes
Planning a wedding is crazy enough without becoming your own mixologist, but offering a special drink can be a fun surprise for your guests! If you’re looking to have your wedding in September or October, here are our favorite fall wedding cocktails that make for festive autumn cheers!
These drinks are tried and true, and trust us, they do not disappoint. We’ve included pictures, ingredients and recipe for each fall wedding cocktail below. We suggest you try them all out first before selecting your favorite. To add a little but more fun to the cocktail, be sure to give it a name or have some signage near the bar so guests know it’s there for them to enjoy!
Caramel Apple Martini
This martini is the perfect combination of sweet, rich caramel and tart, crisp apples – only the most iconic fall flavors! Bonus, it’s as easy as (apple) pie to make!
Caramel Apple Martini Recipe:
2 oz of your favorite vodka
1 oz sour apple schnapps
1 oz butterscotch schnapps
Shake with ice and strain.
Add an (optional) elegant caramel swirl over a chilled glass, and you’re done!
Pumpkin Old Fashioned
Old fashioned’s are one of the most popular signature cocktails at our Massachusetts event venues, and for good reason- it’s a classic! This recipe doesn’t stray far from the traditional version, but the subtle notes of pumpkin spice will have everyone wanting a taste of this cozy cocktail!
Pumpkin Old Fashioned Recipe:
2 oz of your favorite bourbon
1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree (or pumpkin pie filling if you want it sweet!)
½ tablespoon of maple syrup (or simple syrup!)
A dash each of pumpkin spice, vanilla, and Angostura bitters
Shake with ice and serve with a nice orange peel and rosemary sprig if you’re feeling extra fancy!
Rosemary Paloma
Tequila drinkers, this one’s for you. It would be a crime not to include a Paloma on our list of fall signature wedding cocktails since November kicks off the peak season for grapefruit. This Paloma recipe has a subtle but delicious twist: rosemary-infused triple sec to round out the flavors and update this classic cocktail for the fall season.
Rosemary Paloma Recipe:
1 oz silver tequila
2 oz grapefruit juice (bonus points if it’s freshly squeezed!)
1 oz rosemary-infused triple sec (easily made by muddling a few springs of rosemary and heating it with triple sec for a few minutes!)
Top with ice, a grapefruit slice, and an extra sprig of rosemary to finish!
Fall Flavored Mimosas
Perfect for wedding brunch, getting ready, or tasting your love, a mimosa is the perfect blank canvas to create a fall drink with. All you need is Champagne or sparkling white wine and a juice of your choice!
Fall Flavored Mimosa Ideas:
Apple Cider
Cranberry Juice
Pomegranate juice
Pear juice
Cinnamon, maple, or Angostura bitters
Flavored vodka or spiced rum can make a fun addition to these fall flavors as well!
Chocolate Almond Negroni
A Negroni is an elegant sip when made traditionally, but this recipe is a true show-stopper. Complex flavor meets fall fun in this romantic beverage, and it’s unbelievably simple to whip up!
Chocolate Almond Negroni Recipe:
¾ oz of your favorite gin
¾ oz of Campari
¾ of sweet vermouth
¼ oz of amaretto
¼ oz of chocolate liquor
Throw in a dash of chocolate bitters, garnish with star anise, cloves, or cinnamon sticks, and you’ll have an elevated and romantic autumn Negroni!
