Kelly + Dave

“Dave and I met on Match.com (I never thought match.com would work 🙂). We met in 2014 and dated for some time, but realized we were at two different places in life. As a single mother to a teenage boy, dating was definitely not easy or a priority, however, we always remained friends and finally in 2016, we made it official. I feel like those two years we were friends was the best thing for us. We really learned a lot about each other and realized we had more in common than we thought. It’s a great feeling to be able to say I married my best friend, and we were both so happy with the way things turned out. We got engaged on Christmas day in 2018 and got married on August 30, 2019.

When we started our wedding planning, we visited all three Saphire Event Group venues. We loved all three and they were all so different, but there was just something about Avenir. I guess when we walked into that beautiful ballroom, we knew it was the right place for us! We met with Patti, who gave us a tour of Avenir and helped us set a date. Later we planned the whole wedding with Hillary, who helped us with all the details and much more. The whole process was a breeze! Our wedding day was amazing: the venue, the food (which we had so many compliments on), and the staff were all great!

I think it’s impossible to pick a favorite part of our wedding day, we truly enjoyed every part of it. The most important thing was to be surrounded by our family and friends, which we were so grateful for.”
