“Steve and I first met at our overnight camp back in 2001. Being a couple years apart in age, we didn’t truly connect until many years later at a Camp reunion event in the Fall of 2013. We started dating long distance and then quickly realized it was the real deal. I made the decision to move back from NYC for a new job and my then boyfriend, now husband. It wasn’t long until we found an apartment together where we would later get engaged in late October 2016.

We chose The Villa for our wedding venue because we knew we needed a location that provided the full package. I knew I wanted to have my ceremony and reception at the same place, and having a seamless transition from the ceremony > cocktail hour > reception was really important to us. We were happy to find a place outside of the crazy expensive Boston zip code that could give us what we were looking for. It was nice that The Villa provided a full-time Event Producer who was there to answer questions at every stage of the planning process. It was nice knowing that there was someone on my team and that I didn’t have to bear the total weight of planning a wedding by myself, especially having no experience planning an event that large! Our Event Producer, Stephanie, was there every step of the way and definitely eased any anxiety I had leading up to the big day.

It’s so hard to pick one thing that we loved most about our wedding day. I suppose the best part was being able to fully enjoy every moment (mostly). The day is SO overwhelming, but for the good reasons like having all of your family and friends there to celebrate you. Not because we were worried about our timeline, or if the ceremony space would be set-up correctly. We fully trusted Stephanie and the rest of The Villa staff to make our wedding dreams into reality. We were finally ready to leave planning up to the professionals, and sit back and enjoy our special day, which we did from start to finish.”
