“Cory and I went to the same small town high school, he was one year ahead of me. We ended up working together at the same restaurant, where over the years we became great friends. We had known each other for about seven years before we started dating!

I had been to numerous wedding venues and although they were nice, I just couldn’t commit to a place. I felt like something was missing. I found The Villa on The Knot and got a call back from Patti. I was only interested in touring Saphire Estate because of the distance. However after talking about my ‘wedding vision,’ Patti suggested I go and check out The Villa. I brought my mom, sister, and Cory with me that day. When I opened the doors to the Madera Ballroom at The Villa, I just knew it. I said ‘this is it!’ Elegant and romantic, yet it had this touch of modern rustic with the dark wood beams. It was my vision exactly.

It is hard to pick one favorite part of that day because it truly was the best day of my life! But one of my favorites was right after the ceremony, once Cory and I were officially husband and wife. We were whisked away to the bridal suite, where we had some champagne and hors d’oeuvres waiting. It was just the two of us – it was the first time we were alone all day. We took a few minutes to just let everything sink in. After all the planning and meetings and the craziness of the past year and a half, we did it! We were married!”
