Making it 2 the Aisle: Part 3

Guests can expect beautiful fall inspired décor from this crafty couple

With an October wedding date and a great love for the season, Sarah and Adam’s natural inclination was to make fall the theme of their wedding. Rich autumn colors decorated the day, ranging from harvest gold to deep red, and all the vibrant earth tones in between. Bridesmaids looked sleek and sophisticated in plum colored dresses, while the groom’s wedding party sported matching plum ties with their black tuxes.

The couple embraced the fall season not only with color, but with décor. Plump orange pumpkins, seasonal mums and tall cornstalk pillars set the scene, with lanterns providing a romantic source of light. Endless amounts of cranberries were also worked into many of the decorations thanks to Sarah’s family-owned cranberry bogs.

Just how did Sarah and Adam manage to pull off this intricate decoration process in such a short time frame? Well, family and friends’ support of course! One particularly crafty friend took the position as head of the design team, brainstorming ideas and bringing them to life. Some of these projects included hand-made invitations and programs, vases layered with fall items such as pine cones, real dried leaves, cranberries and twigs, custom-designed chair decorations to line the ceremony area, and mini-lantern inspired centerpieces.

When asked what idea she was most excited to see come to life, Sarah immediately noted the pergola she and Adam envisioned. The pergola was decorated with warm caramel-toned fabric, a hanging chandelier, lanterns and plenty of fall colored floral accents.
