With cooler weather looming on the horizon, we’re beginning to see a lot of Internet chatter about hot coffee and cocoa. So after being inundated with tweets and status postings, we got to thinking…why not translate some of the world’s favorite beverages into the perfect wedding color palette?
Ms. Vera Wang showed her love for mocha in her Fall 2012 Bridal Collection, tinting her dresses various shades of brown. And, per usual, we learned something very important while watching her dress designs float down the runway. Mocha weddings don’t always have to be earthy; they can be awfully sophisticated too.
While we adore the rustic look, it’s important to acknowledge that mocha is multi-dimentional, and therefore adaptable to any taste. Instead of relying on wood for your chocolate color, you can model brown suede heels or hold a glittering, tan clutch. Of course, there’s always the option to blend the eco-friendlier side of things with the glamorous, as shown with the wooden diamond ring above. Like we always say, it’s all about the balance.
Your mocha color scheme is, without a doubt, going to need some pops of color; too much of one thing can be a snore. Luckily, mocha hues tend to be quite neutral, allowing for several pairing options. Our favorite color visions include mocha mixed with deep burgundies, pinks and ivories.
